Seth Meyers Stunned Into Silence By GOP Senator's Spin

The "Late Night" host took some time out to process the comment.
Sen. Markwayne Mullin’s (R-Okla.) defense of America’s massive military buildup involving Iran left “Late Night” host Seth Meyers stunned into several seconds of silence Thursday.
Meyers questioned the renewed saber-rattling from Donald Trump and his allies, noting that the president had previously boasted that a prior operation had completely and utterly “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
In a recent interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Mullin argued the current buildup was necessary because Iran is attempting to rebuild. He illustrated his point with an analogy about someone having the bones in their legs obliterated in a car accident, and later still being able to walk again.
Meyers appeared momentarily speechless before quipping: “Nothing is a bigger bummer when someone throws a ‘you know’ into a sentence when you have no idea what they are talking about.”
