
‘Second wave impacted business activities’: India Inc says mass vaccination only solution to Covid crisis

A FICCI-Dhruva survey showed that 58 per cent of companies saw a high impact on their businesses due to lockdown in states due to the second wave of Covid-19. India Inc, meanwhile, added that vaccinating people is the only long-term solution to the current Covid-19 crisis.
With more states getting into ‘unlock’ mode, there are early indications of improvement in economic activity and companies are hopeful of better performance in the next 6-12 months. According to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) - Dhruva Advisors Business Survey, India Inc believes the country must prepare for subsequent waves and that mass vaccination is the only lasting solution to the Covid crisis.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
