Sasikala planning return to AIADMK? | Timeline of leaked audio tapes

A series of leaked audio tapes have stirred up a storm in Tamil Nadu's politics with the late Jayalalithaa's closest confidante Sasikala dropping hints about her possible return to active politics and eventually, the AIADMK.

On May 29 of this year, AIADMK icon late J Jayalalithaa's closest aide Sasikala made headlines by announcing her re-entry into active politics. Sasikala, who enjoys the moniker of 'Chinnamma' among her followers, was released from prison on February 8, 2021. Lodged at the Parapanna Agrahara prison in Bengaluru, she was serving the sentence awarded to her in a disproportionate assets case.
