Samsung Galaxy S23 series is months away from its launch. Samsung is expected to launch its next Galaxy S-series smartphone in January or February 2022. We are about six months away from the rumoured launch and some key details of the Galaxy S23 series have surfaced online already.
The latest rumour has some key details about the processor choice for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known for his Apple iPhone leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will come with a single processor variant worldwide. The analyst claims that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series globally with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood.
Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in November or December 2022. Samsung is expected to be among the early adopters of Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon flagship mobile platform.
The Galaxy S23 lineup is expected to include three new models. These include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The company typically launches its S-series flagships with Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets. However, Kuo claims that the South Korean tech giant is not as confident about the performance of the Exynos 2300 SoC. Therefore, the company is likely to opt for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for the Galaxy S23 series.
The company is currently gearing up for the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, which will launch in August. The two foldable smartphones will feature the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood.
