Samantha is rumoured to make her Bollywood debut opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. The film's shooting is expected to commence later this year.
After Family Man 2, talks about Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Bollywood debut are doing the rounds in the trade circuit. Now, the latest development is that the actress is said to have been roped in to play the lead role opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in her Bollywood debut. According to reports, the untitled film is being produced by Dinesh Vijan.
Samantha recently wrapped up the first schedule of her upcoming film, Kushi, in which she will share screen space with Vijay Deverakonda.
It looks like Samantha's Bollywood debut is right around the corner.The actress will be seen playing the lead role in a commercial film, which is being backed by Dinesh Vijan. The makers are now sorting out the shooting schedule and other logistics issues. She will share screen space with Ayushmann Khurrana.
If reports are anything to go by, the film's shooting might commence by the end of 2022. The makers have decided to keep mum about the project. If things go as planned, the film will release in theatres in late 2023.
Recently, Taapsee Pannu confirmed that she will produce a film featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She also opened up about the project.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Taapsee said, "There is something that we are working together on. We will announce what it is very soon. But yes, we are working on something together. I will be producing it. If there is a part in it that I can do, then I would, but she (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) is going to be leading it. There is a different kind of excitement."
On the work front, Samantha also has Shaakuntalam, Kushi, Yashoda, an untitled film with Shantaruban and her foreign film, Arrangements of Love, in the pipeline.
