Saba Azad, Namit Das to star in immigrant drama Minimum. Shoot begins in June

Saba Azad, Namit Das, Geetanjali Kulkarni and Rumana Molla will be seen in immigrant drama Minimum. The film begins shoot this June and is set to release in June 2023.

Saba Azad, Namit Das, Geetanjali Kulkarni will be a part of the immigrant drama Minimum, which will be jointly produced by Platoon One Films and Ellanar Films. The shoot of the film begins in June. It will be helmed by writer-actor Rumana Molla.

Minimum boasts of an excellent star cast including Saba Azad, Geetanjali Kulkarni and Namit Das. Writer-actor Rumana Molla will also play an important role in the film. She was brought up in Belgium and is the recipient of two National Awards in 2017. The film follows the life of newly-married immigrant Fauzia. She has been held captive by her mother-in-law Ruxana. Fauzia then finds out that all that has been told about her husband is a lie. Hope rises again in Fauzia's life after she meets a French tutor. She then learns and unlearns and demands more than the bare minimum.

The film goes on floor in June.

Saba Azad is rumoured to be dating Hrithik Roshan and is currently basking in the success of Rocket Boys. She spoke about her upcoming film and said, "I knew I had to be a part of Minimum as soon as I read it. It’s a very unusual story.” The actor, who plays a French tutor in the film, feels the character of Laurie “is possibly the toughest I’ve taken up as an actor, mostly because I have to do this in a language I’m not familiar with. That’s what pulled me to the film, I knew it would test my abilities as an artist.”
