Ryan Reynolds' representative responded after explosive texts surfaced in court records. The messages targeted Justin Baldoni during Blake Lively's ongoing dispute.
Actor Ryan Reynolds has become involved in the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the film It Ends With Us after a series of his private text messages were unsealed and entered into court records. The controversy centres on allegations made by his wife, actor Blake Lively against her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni. Reynolds’ personal messages provided insight into his support for Lively throughout the dispute.
The release of these texts has generated considerable public attention and prompted a formal response from Reynolds’ representative.
In a conversation with Puck News, Reynolds’ representative addressed the situation and said, “Yes, Ryan got involved — what husband wouldn’t support his wife and the mother of his children?”
The representative emphasised that Reynolds’ actions were motivated by a desire to support Lively as she faced challenges related to the case. “He saw his wife fighting daily to stand up against sexual harassment in a private and respectful way, only to face retaliation for doing so,” the representative added.
The representative further asserted that Reynolds believed he could have been even more outspoken in his response. “If anything, Ryan feels like he wasn’t angry enough. He passionately believes in and will stand up for the basic right to a safe workplace free of harassment and retaliation for his wife and others. Then, now and always.”
The unsealed messages, which date back to mid-2024, reveal Reynolds expressing frustration during the film’s box office success. In one message to agent Warren Zavala, Reynolds wrote, “I’m super frustrated because this is a moment in which Blake should be celebrating. She made this unbelievable win happen.”
