
Rs 3 crore in fees pending, Mumbai lawyer abducts, tortures client

A lawyer based in Mumbai allegedly kidnapped his client and tortured him at a farmhouse in Nashik over non-payment of his fee of Rs 3 crore. The lawyer has been arrested.
A 45-year-old lawyer, Vimal Jha, allegedly kidnapped his client and tortured him at a farmhouse in Nashik after the latter refused to pay his Rs 3 crore fee. Jha had got his client Navnath Gole, owner of a shipping company, bail in a cheating case in the Supreme Court and was demanding his fee for the same. The lawyer kidnapped Gole on April 2, according to police official Vimal Bidwe. Jha also forced his client to transfer his property before torturing him, said Sub-Inspector Shatraghna Mali.More Related News
