Researchers in Maharashtra name new plant species after Sharad Pawar

A new species of flowering plants has been spotted in south Maharashtra's Kolhapur district and named after NCP chief Sharad Pawar.
A new species of flowering plants has been found in south Maharashtra's Kolhapur district and named after National Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar. It belongs to the genus 'Argyreia' and has been named 'Argyreia sharadchandrajii'. Researchers Dr Pramod R Lawand and Dr Vinod B Shimpale said that the plant has been named after Pawar to acknowledge his work as the Union agriculture minister.More Related News
