Redmi’s new made in India budget phone to be launched in India on September 6

Xiaomi has shared a poster confirming the launch of the smartphone which reveals the design of the Redmi A1.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up to launch multiple smartphones in India. The smartphone company has now confirmed the launch of Redmi A1, which is scheduled to take place on September 6. Xiaomi has also shared a poster confirming the launch of the smartphone which reveals the design of the Redmi A1. A couple of other Redmi phones including the Redmi 11 Prime are also expected to launch on the same day.

Keeping up with the trend, the Redmi A1 features a flat edged design. There is also a pill-shaped camera island at the rear which houses two large camera sensors. The power button and the volume rockers are positioned at the right side of the design, like the other Xiaomi devices. The phone is also seen in two pastel colours including blue and green. The display also features a waterdrop notch.

Although Redmi did not reveal much about the specifications of the Redmi A1, it revealed via a tweet that the smartphone will have blazing fast internet, digital payments, clean software and premium leather texture. Some reports have sport a MediaTek processor. Previously, Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Redmi A1 will be equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit.

Redmi is also expected to unveil the Prime 11 5G in India on September 6. The Redmi Prime 11 5G will be a successor to the Redmi Prime 10, which was well-received by the budget audience. Although the Redmi Prime 11 5G remains a secret to the buyers, tipster Yogesh Brar shared some key details about the phone.

As per Brar, the Redmi Prime 11 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone is also speculated to feature a 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

In the camera department, the Redmi 11 Prime will feature dual cameras which will include a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, Redmi Prime 11 5G will feature a 5-megapixel snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The phone is expected to get noticeable upgrades over the Redmi Prime 10.
