Recovery of dummy weapons sends Punjab cops into a tizzy

The cops heaved a sigh of relief when the inspection revealed that the guns were dummies and not real.
Punjab Police on Sunday recovered a suspicious bag from a car during a routine vehicle check and it contained 'weapons' that pushed the cops into a tizzy.
The bag contained AK-47 rifle, a single barrel gun and other types of guns. The police swung into action as Mohali is under a tight security blanket following the May 9 rocket-propelled grenade (rpg) attack on police's intelligence office headquarters.
The cops then detained three men who were in the car. They were taken to the Matour police station located close to the Punjab Intelligence Bureau building.

But soon the cops heaved a sigh of relief when the inspection revealed that the guns were dummies and the three men were part of a film unit.
The dummy weapons, according to the police, were being taken to Uttar Pradesh for a film shooting. The three men, who were detained, arrange dummy vehicles, create film sets and render other services as part of their profession. They were let go after the inspection was complete.
