Realme Book Prime may be Realme's next laptop in India, we may already be familiar with it
India Today
Realme may soon launch the Realme Book Enhanced Edition in India but it may come with a different branding of Realme Book Prime, although a date for the launch is not clear.
Realme’s first laptop came last year and it made some noise in the market. While I liked the laptop and was sure to point out the good things about the Realme Book Slim in my review last year, I also mentioned the areas where improvement was needed. Realme is now seemingly preparing to launch an upgrade to the Realme Book Slim soon in India. According to a report, Realme Book Prime could be the next laptop from the company for India, but it is not going to be brand-new.
A 91Mobiles report has suggested that Realme may launch the Realme Book Enhanced Edition in India as the Realme Book Prime. Now, the Realme Book Enhanced Edition came earlier this year in China, so we are pretty much familiar with it and its specifications. You can expect mid-range specifications on the laptop, such as an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, a tall display, and Windows 11, among other things.
Realme launched the Enhanced Edition alongside the GT 2 series in China and said that it is a bumped-up version. This means you cannot treat the Realme Book Enhanced Edition as a successor to the Realme Book. In the Indian context, the Realme Book Prime may not be the successor to the Realme Book Slim but a slightly tweaked version of it. But that is only if this rumour holds any water. If Realme Book Prime is indeed happening, but the specifications are not what the report has said, we may see a successor soon. Again, that is very hypothetical at this point.
The report further said that Realme Book Prime will come to other global markets, which may include European countries, Latin markets, and, some Asian countries. There is no information on when Realme is planning to introduce its next laptop to markets outside of China, but Realme India’s boss Madhav Sheth recently confirmed that more laptops are coming soon.
As for the specifications, the Realme Book Prime aka Realme Book Enhanced Edition comes with an Intel Core i5-11320H Willow Cove processor with integrated Intel Xe GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 512GB of NVMe SSD, a dual-fan cooling system, better heat management, a 14-inch 2K display with 100 per cent sRGB coverage and a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 54WHr battery with possibly 65W fast charging. Its design may also be the same as the original Realme Book Slim, but expect more thinness and reduced bezels.
