Suved Parkar has become the second Mumbaikar after Amol Muzumdar (vs Haryana in 1994) to register a double century on first-class debut in a knockout match.
India batter Suryakumar Yadav heaped praise on fellow Mumbaikar Suved Parkar for registering a double century on debut in the Ranji Trophy on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old Parkar achieved the milestone in the second session on Day 2 of the quarter-final match between Mumbai and Uttarakhand at KSCA Cricket Ground in Alur. The right-hander registered his double ton off 375 balls.
"Double hundred on Debut. Special knock Suved parkar," Suryakumar tweeted.

Parkar was drafted into the Mumbai squad in place of the injured Ajinkya Rahane. He scored 252 off 447 balls.
