Ram Gopal Varma recently took to Twitter to applaud Vivek Agnihotri for making The Kashmir Files. RGV said that Vivek will inspire a new breed of revolutionary filmmakers.

The Kashmir Files has impressed the audience from all corners. Despite many odds, the film is doing well at the box office. While many stars have lauded the film, the recent celebrity to express his admiration for it is filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. He took to Twitter recently to praise Vivek Agnihotri for making The Kashmir Files. RGV said that Vivek will now 'inspire a new breed of revolutionary filmmakers'. Starring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, The Kashmir Files is set in 1990 during the Kashmir insurgency.

The Kashmir Files had an extraordinary opening at the box office and earned Rs 3.55 crore on its release day. Despite many odds, the film is rocking the box office collections. Ram Gopal Varma is also in awe of the film as he took to Twitter to laud Vivek Agnihotri. His tweet read, "Apart from the EXPLOSIVE material he so DARINGLY exposed , #VivekRanjanAgnihotri TRAMPLED BOLLYWOOD by CREATING his own VIVEKWOOD which will inspire a new BREED of revolutionary film makers and that’s the ULTIMATE victory more than #KashmirFiles humongous commercial success (sic)."

It’s a heart-wrenching narrative of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits and questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.

The Kashmir Files' cast features Anupam Kher as Pushkarnath, Mithun Chakraborty as Brahma Dutt, Darshan Kumar as Krishna Pandit, Pallavi Joshi as Radhika Menon, Bhasha Sumbali as Shraddha Pandit and Chinmay Mandlekar as Farooq Malik aka Bitta, among others. The film is bankrolled by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri under the Zee Studios, IAmBuddha and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banners.
