Fourteen people have been arrested by the Alwar police after Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait’s convoy was attacked in Rajasthan on Friday.
Fourteen people have been arrested on charges of attacking Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait’s convoy in Tatarpur village of Alwar district on Friday. This is when 33 people, according to the first information report (FIR), stopped his car on the pretext of welcoming him. They reportedly broke the windows of the car with sticks and threw black ink on the complainant. The FIR also says that an attempt was made to snatch weapons from BKU state president Rajaram Meel. A case was registered in this regard late on Friday night.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
