As heavy rains lashed Delhi, Noida and Gurugram on Thursday, severe waterlogging was reported in several areas, leading to traffic snarls on key roads across the cities. Normal life was thrown out of gear as commuters waded through knee-deep water due to inundated streets. Meanwhile, schools have been ordered to remain shut in Noida and Gurugram in view of the heavy rainfall.
Similarly, the District Disaster Management Authority, in an advisory, asked corporate offices and private institutions in Gurugram to guide their employees to work from home to avoid traffic congestion.
