Railways warns job aspirants indulging in violence of lifetime debarment from jobs in railways as angry candidates indulge in wide spread violence at several railway stations in Bihar

Indian Railways has issued a stern warning of lifetime debarment from jobs in railways to candidates of RRB-NTPC exams who have been indulging in massive violence in various parts of Bihar, alleging discrepancies in results."It has come to notice that aspirants of railway jobs have indulged in vandalism and unlawful activities and disruption of train operations. Such misguided activities are of the highest level of indiscipline, rendering such aspirants unsuitable for jobs in railways and government," read a statement from the Railways. The statement further added that Indian Railways was examining the videos of such candidates who have indulged in violent activities and those, who are found to be involved in unlawful activities, will be liable for police action as well as a life-time ban from obtaining jobs in Railways.

Thousands of candidates, who were eyeing jobs in the Railways, have been indulging in massive violence and protests in various parts of Bihar for the last two days, alleging discrepancies in RRB-NTPC results, which were declared recently. On Monday, agitating aspirants blocked the Delhi-Kolkata rail section for about five hours at Rajendra Nagar railway station in Patna and Ara Railway station, resulting in the cancellation of more than half a dozen trains, including Tejas Rajdhani and Sampoorn Kranti originating from Patna. On Tuesday, a similar violence was reported at railway stations at Buxur, Sitamarhi, Hajipur, Navada and Motihari where thousands of railway job aspirants barged inside and vandalised railway properties. At the Nawada railway station, agitating aspirants set a train engine on fire and hurled stones at the security personnel. In Sitamarhi, police had to fire in the air and launch tear gas shells after aspirants clashed with the police force and threw stones at them.
