R Madhavan's film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is predicted to perform like The Kashmir Files at box office. Vivek Agnihotri has now reacted to it.

Vivek Agnihotri's directorial venture, The Kashmir Files, released in the theatres on March 11. The film was based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus during the Kashmir insurgency in 1990. It starred Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi. Ever since its release, the film created a huge noise among the audience and broken several records at the box office. Film trade analysts have now predicted that R Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will grow at the box office just like The Kashmir Files.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect witnessed a slow start at the box office unfortunately. However, it is expected to grow gradually. Trade analysts say that the film is expected to grow at the box office via word of mouth like Vivek’s last release The Kashmir Files. Sharing a news report about this box office analysis, Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, “From the bottom of my heart, I wish this happens and I am sure it will happen because @ActorMadhavan is one of the most honest actor. For those who don’t know he was one of the finest debaters and a true patriot (sic).”

Check it out:

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a biopic based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely accused of espionage. The film is written, produced and directed by R. Madhavan, who also plays the lead role as well. It marks Madhavan's directorial debut. Simran, Misha Ghoshal, Rajit Kapur and Karthik Kumar will be seen in supporting roles. The story spans across Narayanan's days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the false espionage charges placed upon him. Filmed simultaneously in English, Tamil and Hindi, Rocketry premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19, 2022, and was theatrically released on July 1.

Staged on a mammoth scale, the film has been shot in India, France, Canada, Georgia and Serbia. Rocketry is produced by TriColour films, Varghese Moolan Pictures and 27th Investments. The film is being distributed by UFO Moviez and Red Giant Movies in India and will be distributed internationally by Yash Raj Films and Phars Film Co.

The Kashmir Files is based on the life of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, during the Kashmir insurgency. The film is a true story, based on video interviews of the first generation victims of The Kashmir Genocide of the Kashmiri Pandit Community. It’s a heart-wrenching narrative of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits which also questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film is bankrolled by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri under the Zee Studios, IAmBuddha and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banners. The ensemble cast comprises Mithun Chakraborty as Brahma Dutt, Anupam Kher as Pushkarnath, Darshan Kumar as Krishna Pandit, Pallavi Joshi as Radhika Menon, Bhasha Sumbali as Shraddha Pandit, Chinmay Mandlekar as Farooq Malik aka Bitta (Inspired by Farooq Ahmed Dar), Puneet Issar as DGP Hari Narain.
