In the viral picture, Prince Philip was seen dressed in full uniform as the Queen, who stood beside him, giggled all the way. Here’s the real story behind the viral image.
As tributes poured in for Britain’s Prince Philip after his death on Friday, a picture of him with Queen Elizabeth II surfaced on social media and swiftly went viral. In the image, the Duke of Edinburgh was seen dressed in full uniform, as he prepared to accompany Her Majesty, elegant in a blue outfit. The Queen “giggled” in the picture and several social media users claimed that she was seen smiling because Prince Philip “played a prank” but that is not the case here. Look at that smile. The Duke of Edinburgh pranked the Queen when she arrived back at Buckingham Palace. She adored him. #LoveStory #Duke of Edinburgh pic.twitter.com/eaMAN1Ihsc Prince Philip pranking The Queen by dressing as a Palace Guard. pic.twitter.com/ub8xtOnlkG Prince Philip pulls a bit of a prank on the Queen by dressing as a palace guard. pic.twitter.com/SKfxhtOOal Wonderful picture of the Queen and Prince Philip who had dressed as a guard as a prank to surprise her on her return. pic.twitter.com/CAjc1RXVtV My favourite photo of The Queen and Prince Phillip.
