Bridgerton's spin-off, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, has been announced. The teaser of the series was recently released.
The spin-off of Bridgerton has been officially announced by the OTT giant Netflix. An official announcement of the series, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, was made a day ahead of the streaming platform's Tudum event. And during the virtual event, that was held on September 24, the teaser of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story was released. As per media reports, the series will follow the early years of Queen Charlotte, played by Golda Rosheuvel.
Sharing the first look of the spin-off series, the makers of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story captioned their Instagram post: "Dearest readers, rejoice in a formal introduction to royalty herself, India Amarteifio, who along with the incomparable duo of Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh will reveal the origins of Your Majesty. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is on the way, indeed (sic)."
While sharing the teaser of the series, they mentioned, "When Charlotte met George, a Ton love story began. It is with great pleasure to share a first look at Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, a new series from Shonda Rhimes coming soon. #TUDUM (sic)."

According to Variety, the official logline of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story reads, "This Bridgerton-verse prequel, which is centered on Queen Charlotte's rise to fame and power, describes how the young Queen's marriage to King George sparked a great love story and a social revolution that gave rise to the Ton world that the characters in Bridgerton inherited."
Shonda Rhimes is the showrunner, executive producer and writer of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The series also features Corey Mylchreest, Sam Clemmett, Michelle Fairley, Hugh Sachs, Tunji Kasim, Richard Cunningham, Cyril Nri, and Rob Maloney in key roles.
