Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali on Sunday extended his warm greetings to DMK president M.K. Stalin over his and his party’s victory in the Assembly election. “You and your party should lead the destiny of the State of Tamil Nadu,” he said. The Prince expressed hope that Mr. Stalin and his government to be sworn-in would play an important role for the preservation of secularism and democracy for peaceful co-existence of all fellow citizens.The election authorities are gearing up for the counting of votes cast in the simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, scheduled to be held on June 4. The Collectors and Election Officers of Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli and Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) districts said on May 23 (Thursday) that their teams were ready for the counting of votes.
Responding to the prolonged water scarcity, the residents of the area took to the streets in protest on Wednesday.
