President Kovind lauds govt.’s fiscal measures amid pandemic

Economy badly disrupted due to COVID-19, says Kovind
President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday said the hit the country’s economy hard and that the government had taken various fiscal measures to alleviate distress.
Mr. Kovind was speaking at the valedictory ceremony of the National Academy of Audit and Accounts for the Indian Audit and Accounts Services (IA&AS) trainee officers here.
The past 18 months have been very trying for the country, the President said.

The Shakespeare Millennium Club in collaboration with the Annai Velankanni Church (Society of St. Vincent De Paul), conducted a Free Medical Camp on November 23, 2025 at the church premises from 9 am to 6 pm, with Dr. Samundi Sankari and Dr. Divya Sivaraman of Srushti Hospitals, Dr. Sharada L N of Aramba, the Kumaran Dental Clinic, Lychee and Satya Physiotherapy Centre, according to a press release.
