
Politician-militant nexus case: J&K police files chargesheet against PDP's Waheed Parra

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against the youth president of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (JKPDP), Waheed ur Rehman Parra.
The J&K Police on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against youth president of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (JKPDP) Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra for his involvement in a case related to the alleged nexus between politicians and terror groups in the union territory. Parra was arrested in November last year by the Criminal Investigation Kashmir (CIK), a branch of Crime Investigation Department (CID) mandated to probe cases under the UAPA and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The CIK had filed a case last year against unknown politicians and others based on "reliable and confidential sources" who claimed that some political functionaries were assisting militants.More Related News
