Actor Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna recalled a touching moment from the days leading up to their wedding, revealing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote heartfelt letters to their respective parents after meeting the couple.
Vijay and Rashmika married in an intimate ceremony held near Udaipur earlier this week, attended only by close family and friends. Ahead of the wedding, the actors met Prime Minister Modi to seek his blessings, a meeting Vijay described as warm and deeply meaningful.
Sharing details from the interaction, Vijay said the conversation went beyond formalities. “A few days back, we met the Honourable Prime Minister and took his blessings. We spent a great time talking about our history, architecture and stories. He also wrote my parents the sweetest letter (sic),” the actor recalled.

The couple also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the same period. Vijay described the interaction as equally personal, noting that they discussed culture and cinema. He added that Shah gifted them a Ganesh idol, which now occupies a special place in their prayer hall.
