Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief over the death of actor-comedian Raju Srivastava, who breathed his last on Wednesday at the age of 58.
The Prime Minister took to Twitter to say that the comedian brightened people's lives with laughter and positivity. "Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour and positivity. He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Earlier, PM Modi had spoken to spoken to the comedian's wife, Shikha Srivastava, and had assured her full help in treatment.
Raju had suffered a heart attack while working out at the gym on August 10 following which he was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi. He had suffered severe brain damage after the cardiac arrest, and had remained unconscious and under observation at the hospital since then.
