While granting bail to a man, the Bombay High Court on Monday ordered him to pay Rs 10 lakh to the Chief Minster’s Relief Fund after he was booked for breaking a bank door.
The Bombay High Court directed a man to pay Rs 10 lakh to the Chief Minster’s Relief Fund while granting him bail on Monday. He was booked for breaking a glass door while trying to forcibly enter a bank after official hours. According to the complaint lodged on April 16 at Sangola Gramin Police station by Bank of India’s Mahud branch officer, the bank was to close at 4 pm due to Covid-induced restrictions. The main gate was shut while the existing customers were completing their transactions.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
