NCP supremo Sharad Pawar said on Sunday that seeking resignation from Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh is an option and it will be discussed, but the final decision lies on CM Uddhav Thackeray. Former Maharashtra Police chief on Saturday accused Anil Deshmukh of demanding Rs 100 crore from the Mumbai Police to extort from the local restaurants and pubs every month. This was among the many serious allegations Param Bir Singh levelled against the NCP leader, who has threatened to file a defamation case against the officer.
