In solidarity with India during the Covid crisis, Pakistani artists sang a soulful version of Arziyan and shared the video on Facebook. It has gone viral on social media.
Pakistani artists including singers Zeeshan Ali and Nauman Ali performed a soulful rendition of AR Rahman’s iconic 2009 song Arziyan in solidarity with India as the country is battling a massive surge in the number of Covid-19 cases. India, reeling under the deadly second wave of Covid-19, recorded 4 lakh cases on Friday in a new global record. In support of India, Zeeshan Ali, Nauman Ali and their friends sang Arziyan and shared the video on Facebook, which has gone viral on social media. Their performance, with the lyrics slightly altered to “Honsla na haro yeh waqt bhi tal jaega, raat jitni ghani ho phir sawera aega (Don’t lose hope. This too shall pass. The night is dark, but dawn will come),” will definitely make you emotional. “Pakistani artists Zeeshan Ali, Nauman Ali and his fellows singing in solidarity with India amid Covid-19 crisis. Honsla na haro yeh waqt bhi tal jaega, raat jitni ghani ho phir sawera aega. Art and humanism has no borders. Respect and gratitude is always here in our hearts, love and affinity,” Nauman Ali said in the caption of his post.
