Oxygen needs of hospitals change from day to day: AIIMS chief on Delhi audit report

AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria said on Saturday that the medical oxygen needs of hospitals are dynamic. A panel headed by him said in its report that the Delhi government "exaggerated" consumption of LMO during the second wave of Covid infections.

Director of AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr Guleria was referring to a report in which a sub-group headed by him termed the Delhi government's claims over consumption of medical oxygen during the second wave as "exaggerated". ? The five-member panel was constituted by the Supreme Court to audit oxygen consumption in hospitals in the national capital. In its report, the panel said the Delhi government "exaggerated" the consumption of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) during the second wave.
