A truck driver was fined Rs 1,000 for driving the vehicle without wearing a helmet in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Wednesday.
A truck driver was fined Rs 1,000 for driving the vehicle without wearing a helmet in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Wednesday. The matter came to the fore when Pramod Kumar Swain visited the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to renew the permit to drive the truck. It was here when Swain got to know about a challan pertaining to ‘driving without a helmet’ that was pending against the registered number of the truck.
As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
