Odisha CM launches air ambulance services in four districts for free healthcare facilities

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched Mukhyamantri Vayu Swasthya Seva to provide free healthcare facilities for the poor.
In a significant step in the field of healthcare services, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched Mukhyamantri Vayu Swasthya Seva (air health services) at the Biju Patnaik International Airport today. With this, it became one of the first states to provide air ambulance facilities for the poor in the rural interior areas.
The people of four tribal-dominated districts such as Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Kalahandi will be able to get better healthcare services free of cost. Other districts of the state will be covered under the programme in a phased manner.

Amid preparations for an engagement and haldi ceremony in Maharashtra's Dhule district, an argument broke out between two groups over the printing of names on a wedding invitation card, during which three people were attacked with sharp weapons and killed. Three others were injured and are undergoing treatment.
