
O Panneerselvam’s son demands justice over Kodanad heist and murder case

AIADMK’s O Panneerselvam’s second son Jayapradeep tweeted demanding justice over the crime that occurred in Jayalalitha’s Kodanad estate five years ago. He urged the Tamil Nadu government to nab the real culprits involved in the Kodanad murder and robbery case and bring them to justice.
“Several shocking and mysterious incidents have occurred in Kodanadu bungalow. As a humble cadre of Amma, I the Tamilnadu Government to find the real culprits and bring them to justice,” tweeted Jayapradeep.
This comes at a time when Madras Highcourt refused to stay AIADMK’s 11th July General Council meeting while hearing the contempt petition on Monday.
Interestingly, Jayapradeep, who has stayed away from mainstream politics, has become vocal about the Kodanad conspiracy for the first time since the crime occurred in 2017.
The murder and heist took place five years ago. On the night of April 23, 2017, 11 persons killed the property's security guard, Om Bahadur, and looted the bungalow. In a mysterious turn of events, two of the main accused in the case- Kanagaraj, who served as Jayalalithaa's driver, and KV Sayan, met with separate road accidents within a week after the heist.
After the initial probe, police discovered that three suitcases with documents about Jayalalithaa's property worth crores were stolen from the estate.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
