Tamil Nadu Nutritious Meal Workers and Anganwadi Pensioners Association staged protest in Thoothukudi on Monday, condemning the DMK government for not fulfilling its election promises.
The protesters said that during the last Assembly elections, the DMK had promised in its election manifesto that anganwadi and nutritious meal workers would be provided with time-scale pay and the vacant posts would be filled. However, these demands have not been fulfilled so far.
