School Education department and NGO launch initiative in Karimnagar to teach entrepreneurship and experiential learning beyond classrooms.
To inculcate entrepreneurial spirit among schoolchildren and foster experiential learning, the School Education department in collaboration with an NGO on Monday (March 17, 2025) launched a novel initiative in Karimnagar to take learning beyond classrooms.
A model vegetable market was set up in the Rythu Bazar in Kashmirgadda in the town as part of this initiative. It was inaugurated by Collector Pamela Satpathy.
As many as 60 rural students from around 12 select government schools in the district were familiarised with the concept of marketing fresh vegetables grown on the premises of several State-run schools. The students donned the role of vegetable vendors, promoting cultivation of organic vegetables and highlighting the nutritional benefit of organic produce. They were acquainted with the role of farmers as ‘anna data’ (food givers), demand and supply factors and vegetable consumption patterns among other relevant aspects, sources said.
The novel initiative aims to inculcate entrepreneurial mindset among students and enhance their learning experience for their holistic development.
