The Assam CM said that dressing up is not a crime unless offensive material is used or inappropriate words are used.

Earlier today, a man was arrested in Assam after he was accused of hurting religious sentiments during a street play in which he was dressed as Lord Shiva. Meanwhile, he has been granted bail, according to news agency ANI.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
