The North-West District Police has taken the "Safety and Empowerment" initiative in order to curb crime against women, to ensure their safety and security and to instill confidence among them.
In order to curb crime against women, to ensure their safety and security and to instill confidence among them, the North-West District Police has taken a groundbreaking "Safety and Empowerment" initiative by deploying 'Women Beat Constables' in the sensitive 'Beats'. One 'Beat' in each Police Station of North-West District is earmarked where 'Women Beat Constables' have been deployed to perform their duties from dawn to dusk.
Amid preparations for an engagement and haldi ceremony in Maharashtra's Dhule district, an argument broke out between two groups over the printing of names on a wedding invitation card, during which three people were attacked with sharp weapons and killed. Three others were injured and are undergoing treatment.
