But when the BSF caught her, instead of prosecuting her, they handed her over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) as a gesture of goodwill. BSF jawans under the South Bengal Frontier apprehended a Bangladeshi woman in the bordering area of North 24 Parganas district while she was illegally entering Indian territory. The 33-year-old woman, identified as Poliyara Begum (fictitious name), is a resident of Naugaon district, Bangladesh.
