No regret on Nagaland kilings, no apology for Covid second wave deaths: Manish Tewari on President Kovind's address

Congress leader Manish Tewari has said that President Ram Nath Kovind did not talk about the massacre of civilians in Nagaland or the deaths in the second Covid wave during his address in Parliament.
Senior Congress leader Manish Tewari has reacted to President Ram Nath Kovind's address ahead of the Budget session in Parliament.
Manish Tewari said, "The President did not say anything about the massacre of civilians in Nagaland or the deaths during the second wave of Covid-19."
"The President's address had nothing about restoring the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir. The Taliban's take over of Afghanistan and its terror implications on India was not mentioned in his address either."
Meanwhile, the Budget session of Parliament had started with President Ram Nath Kovind's address to a joint sitting of both houses.
President Kovind during his address paid tribute to freedom fighters. Kovind said," The government has honoured Netaji on his 125th birth anniversary."
"India worked as a team during Covid. India's vaccination programme has created world records. Over 90% of senior citizens have received at least one dose of vaccine," President Kovind added.
"The government is working on schemes to ensure no one sleeps hungry," he further added.
