A night curfew has been imposed in Pune amid a rising number of coronavirus cases in the region along with other parts of Maharashtra. Pune will once again see a night curfew from 11 pm to 6 am.

Schools and colleges will also remain shut till March 31 amid the latest spike in coronavirus cases while hotels and bars will be closed from 10 pm to 6 am. Malls and theaters in Pune also will remain shut from 10 pm to 6 am during the night curfew. Gardens will be closed in the evening.
As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
