NIA probes why Sachin Vaze's Mumbai Police unit picked up CCTV from arrested cop's housing society

Arrested in the Mukesh Ambani security scare case, the Mumbai unit of suspended cop Sachin Vaze reportedly seized his housing society's digital video recorder (DVR) and CCTV footage while probing the case. The NIA is now looking into this.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is looking into the reason behind the Crime Intelligence Unit’s move to seize the digital video recorder (DVR) of the building of Sachin Vaze when the suspended Mumbai police officer was probing the Mukesh Ambani security scare case. Now suspended, Sachin Vaze was arrested last week for his suspected role in the placement of an explosives-laden car outside Mukesh Ambani's residence in Mumbai. The NIA, which took over the case after the mysterious death of Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiran who had claimed the vehicle had been stolen from his possession, has recovered a letter dated February 27. The letter, submitted by Assistant Police Inspector (API) Riyaz Qazi of CIU, was written to procure the DVR of the residential building where Sachin Vaze lived. The letter was submitted two days after the explosives-laden car was found outside Mukesh Ambani's residence in Mumbai.More Related News
