The NIA court in Guwahati on Thursday acquitted activist and MLA Akhil Gogoi and three others in a sedition case along with other charges. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had on Tuesday filed an additional chargesheet against MLA Akhil Gogoi who has been booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, (UAPA) for his alleged role in violent anti-CAA protests and possible links with the Maoist elements.More Related News
