New Skoda Fabia design sketches released
India Today
We’ve been missing the Skoda Fabia on our roads for a long time and following the details and reveal of the new VW Polo, it was only a matter of time for Skoda to follow suit. Here are some of the design details for the new Skoda Fabia ahead of its world premiere.
Official design sketches for the new generation Skoda Fabia has been released by the company and with it, goes up the anticipation and hope of the car making it to Indian shores. As is the norm, the popular small car from the Czech car manufacturer will be significantly larger than its predecessors. Adopting the MQB-A0 platform has made the new proportions possible and has created even more space for passengers and luggage. More details are awaited from its world premiere this May. Two of the design sketches show modern lines while released numbers reveal a 111mm increase in length and 48mm in width than its predecessor and an extra 50 litres of boot space. The other sketches give a more detailed impression of the new Fabia’s modern exterior lighting. The headlamps resemble blocks of ice in the sharply cut full-LED units which extend up to the Skoda grille. An L-shaped daytime running light can be seen, as well. Crystalline elements can also be found in the graphics of the distinctly flat rear LED lights.
