India’s cyber agency, CERT-IN has alerted the WhatsApp user about multiple vulnerabilities that have been discovered in the app. The loopholes in security can lead to serious breach of information. This is one of the many flaws that have unearthed recently. The CERT-in report states that the vulnerability has been detected in software including WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business for Android prior to v2.21.4.18 and WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business for iOS prior to v2.21.32.The vulnerability has received a high severity rating by the cyber agency. "Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in WhatsApp applications which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or access sensitive information on a targeted system. Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code or access sensitive information on a targeted system,” the advisory read.
