India Today
After indicating earlier this month that a new GSX-S1000 was on the way, Suzuki has now released details of the 2021 street naked, here is a quick look.
It has been a while since Suzuki has paid attention to the GSX-S1000 streetfighter for a while now with the motorcycle only receiving minor updates over the past few years. For 2021, Suzuki has decided to finally bring the litre-class naked up-to-date with modern tech and features that brings the motorcycle to a level playing field with its counterparts. The obvious changes are the new aesthetics with the bodywork being sharp, angular, and aggressive, more than ever before. Suzuki retains its ‘mass forward’ look which places the bulk of the bike’s visual mass in the front and centre, giving it that butch appearance. The inline four-cylinder engine in the 2021 GSX-S1000 produces more power and a broader spread of torque in the lower rev ranges as claimed by Suzuki. This has been brought about by using a new intake and exhaust camshaft, new valve springs, new clutch, and a new exhaust. This has resulted in the new GSX-S1000 making more cumulative torque across the rev range compared to its predecessor and a flatter torque curve. Peak power of 152bhp is developed at 11,000rpm.
