In the upcoming episode of Dance Deewane Juniors, the show's judge Neetu Kapoor will be seen breaking down on the stage. The actress will get emotional remembering her late husband, Rishi Kapoor. In the latest promo of the kid's dance reality show, Neetu is seen crying after a contestant's grandmother recounts her old connection with Rishi Kapoor.
Rishi Kapoor died in 2020 after a long battle with cancer. In the latest promo of Dance Deewane Juniors, a contestant’s grandmother tells Neetu Kapoor about her family’s connection with Rishi. She says, “My husband met Rishi ji in 1974 and he would always talk about him. Rishi ji always supported my husband and I would want to sing a few lines in his memory.” The grandmother then sings Reshma’s popular ballad Lambi Judaai. Hearing this, Neetu gets emotional and starts crying.
Later, we see Neetu taking the judge’s chair. She says, “Rishi ji is not here but I meet someone every day and every day, someone reminds me of him. Everybody has some or the other story with him. Somehow, somewhere, he is still connected to me.”

Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020. He was 67. The actor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 following which he and Neetu Kapoor jetted off to the Big Apple for his treatment. His friends and colleagues from the industry often visited him in New York during that time. Rishi Kapoor returned to India after his treatment in September 2019.
