Nearly 30 people were injured, none of them seriously, after their tourist bus reportedly rammed into a lorry parked near the Kumbalam toll plaza on Saturday (May 10, 2025) around 3 a.m.
The victims from Thiruvananthapuram were reportedly returning after a wedding in Malappuram. The injured were rushed to the emergency department of VPS Lakeshore Hospital. Many sustained fractures, and nearly six were advised to undergo CT scans. Initial reports suggest that the accident occurred after the driver allegedly dozed off behind the wheel.
