Want to rock a monotone bridal look? Take cues from Nayanthara and Priyanka Chopra on how to nail it.
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s dreamy wedding pictures took the internet by storm today. The couple, dressed in ethereal ethnic ensembles, left everyone bewitched with their wedding glory.
Both Nayanthara and Vignesh wore custom-made outfits from the label Jade by MK. While the actress exuded regal charm in a red saree, Vignesh kept it simple yet elegant in a kurta and veshti with shawl. Nayanthara’s bridal look, we must add, also reminded us of Priyanka Chopra’s wedding ensemble. Wondering how? Well, read on.
Nayanthara, for her big day, embraced a traditional yet contemporary bridal look. She wore a personalised saree in vermilion red colour that was replete with tone-on-tone embroidery. Oh, and the embroidery on her saree was inspired by the carvings of the temples of Hoysala. The ensemble also featured the motif of Goddess Lakshmi and was personalised with her and Vignesh Shivan’s names.
She rocked a heavy assemblage of jewels to go with the six yards. She wore layered necklaces, a dainty maang tikka, oversized studs and ornate bangles to complement her wedding saree.
When Priyanka Chopra tied the knot with Nick Jonas in a Hindu ceremony, she also rocked a monotone bridal look. She had also worn a regal red ensemble that was adorned with tone-on-tone embroidery details.
As for the jewels, Priyanka had also rocked layered necklaces and a maang tikka. However, Nayanthara's wedding jewels featured prominent hints of emeralds, Priyanka's jewellery was dominated by diamonds.
However, Priyanka rocked a lehenga set whereas Nayanthara swore by the timeless appeal of the six yards. Moreover, the designers for both the stunning ensembles are different as well. Priyanka rocked a Sabyasachi creation and Nayanthara got a custom-made saree from Jade by Monica and Karishma.
