The 29-year-old Navdeep Saini will play three matches for Kent in the county championship and five matches in the domestic one-day cup.
India right-arm fast bowler Navdeep Saini will be representing the English county team Kent in eight games in the ongoing season. The speedster is set to ply his trade in three county championship matches and five games in the domestic One-Day Cup.
Saini made his international debut back in 2019 in the West Indies but lost his place in the national side soon after. However, recently, he was a net bowler for the Indian team ahead of the rescheduled fifth Test against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
"Kent Cricket is delighted to announce the signing of India international fast bowler Navdeep Saini for up to three County Championship and five Royal London Cup matches, subject to visa and regulatory approval," Kent was quoted as saying on their official website.
The 29-year-old Saini has played for India across all three formats and has featured for a number of teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
After signing the pacer, Kent expressed their delight and are excited for him to take the field in the upcoming matches.
"Hailed as one of the top five fastest Indian bowlers in world cricket, Saini is capable of clocking 95mph and has taken 148 first-class wickets at 28.80 with a career bowling economy of 2.92," the website stated.
