On July 10, NASA shared a collage of pictures of their interns as a reminder for fall applicants to apply for an internship at America’s space agency. One of the interns posing with the idols of Hindu Gods caught the attention of Twitter.

NASA, one of top space agencies in the US, recently shared a collage of their interns on Twitter as a reminder for fall applicants to apply for an internship at the space agency. In an effort to showcase diversity, they included a picture of an Indian-American girl, who can be seen with the idols of Goddess Laxmi and Saraswati surrounding her laptop. As soon as netizens came across the picture, some were left shocked while others applauded NASA for giving more power to women. NASA is this some joke??? https://t.co/pmYAJYddzp After seeing this we said;Science ka Naash kar diya NASA ne. https://t.co/Wx0fy7D1BC For all the Hinduphobics out there mocking that Hindu woman. This is my work station and similar to this can be found in almost every Indian every Hindu and you know our numbers. We are everywhere and doing almost every job which you can't. pic.twitter.com/EvUB1ppAbM I am a Hindu. I don't believe in God. But, I respect my religion and its teachings. And, I always support people to praise whom they want to. I never try to change their minds. Please refrain from trolling people based on their religious views. JAI SHREE RAM 1/2 This Photo Proud Hindu pic.twitter.com/ev3BX2pckP Pic 4: Hindus have the ability to behave in a very instrumental way. So, when it suits them they can act completely modern. And when it suits them they can go back to their tradition, their caste etc. They can hold both the masks together seamlessly. Definition of modern Hindu. Ridiculous that people have a problem with a Hindu intern being her Hindu self! Hinduism is the most scientific way of life. Historically, Hindus never were flat earthers, we knew about planets before other religions were born. Pooja and pratima roy.Proud of them. pic.twitter.com/xAl44SPP0H
