Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu approves "Svayam" as the brand name for Dwacra products to enhance market visibility.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved the brand name, “Svayam,” for Dwacra products, aiming to boost their visibility in the national and international markets.
The decision was taken during a review meeting held at the Secretariat on Wednesday, which focussed on branding initiatives for products crafted by the Dwacra women.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister examined various proposed brand names and logos presented by officials. He directed that the opinion of the Dwacra associations be taken into account before finalising the logo, and the final decision should reflect the majority preference.
Mr. Naidu said, “Dwacra women are creating exceptional products, and it is the government’s responsibility to provide them with effective marketing. The branding must be appealing not only for local markets but also to attract national and international consumers. The brand name and logo should clearly convey the concept and create demand for these products. Since the products are brought into the market through self-help groups, the name ‘Svayam’ is appropriate, and the logo design should align with this concept.”
The review was attended by Minister Kondapalli Srinivas and senior officials from the SERP Department, who discussed strategies to enhance branding, promotion, and market reach for Dwacra products.
